Ambassadors are a valued and visible part of our community as they are a direct link between the National Lutheran Choir and a church or college. We like to think of them as our “Super Fans!” Ambassadors have the best role of all: sharing their love of the National Lutheran Choir.
As an Ambassador, you can:
Advocate for the Choir at your institution by sharing information about upcoming events, news and opportunities.
Organize groups from your church or college to attend concerts, watch live streams, or participate in other events by the Choir.
Live with an enthusiasm and passion for singing a sacred and spiritual story.
FAQ About the Ambassador Program
-
The Ambassador Program was created to help broaden the awareness of the National Lutheran Choir. By partnering with volunteers who serve as a liaison between their institution and the NLC staff, we are able to reach new audiences with which to share our music and messages.
-
A successful Ambassador:
• is anyone who is actively engaged in the life of a congregation or college music program,
• has enthusiasm and passion for sacred choral music and thereby supports the work and mission of the National Lutheran Choir,
• is excited and energized about sharing the story of the NLC (who we are, what we do, etc.) with members of their institution.
-
Advocate Within Your Institution
• Submit announcements about NLC concerts to print and electronic publications by your institution and/or and have the announcements shared on social media
• Guide members in finding out more about the NLC, including how to attend concerts or hymn festivals, find our music online, attend an open rehearsal, and more!
Communicate with the NLC Staff
• Watch for communications from the NLC Staff via phone and email throughout the season for information.
• Help the NLC Staff understand how the members of your institution would like to engage with the NLC. Ambassadors are encouraged to contact the NLC if there are opportunities that may be unique to their institution or community!
